East Fife match preview
12th August 2011
AIRDRIE are without two players for tomorrow's Second Division trip to Methil.
Boss Jimmy Boyle has confirmed that Sean Lynch and Ally Woodburn will not be considered for selection.
Former Falkirk and St Mirren midfielder Lynch is still recovering from a twisted ankle but should return to training next week.
Ex-Ayr United winger Woodburn is suffering from a thigh strain. He will now have a scan to determine the extent of the injury.
Boyle said: "We're taking our time with Sean. He's been out for a few weeks but we're looking for him to get back training next week.
"And Ally will have a scan on his thigh as we suspect there might be a tear.
"We have some strength in depth in the squad just now so we don't need to push these boys too hard."
The Diamonds travel to East Fife looking to build on last weekend's impressive 3-0 league success over Dumbarton.
But Boyle knows his troops face a tough afternoon at New Bayview.
The manager added: "They are scoring plenty of goals and John Robertson has done well there. We want to keep our players' confidence up and we're going out and trying to win every game."
