Brechin City match preview
14th October 2011
MANAGER Jimmy Boyle wants Airdrie to produce another five-star display in Angus tomorrow.
The Diamonds will re-start their Irn-Bru Second Division promotion play-off push at Brechin City.
And Boyle is expecting a similar showing to the one which blew away Stenhousemuir in a 5-2 victory at the beginning of the month.
He said: "It shouldn't be hard to reproduce that sort of performance every week. It's all about mentality.
"If people have a good mentality, that's what we should be producing every week, even though we might not win every week."
Airdrie are currently in fifth place in the table, nine points behind leaders Arbroath.
But the New Broomfield gaffer isn't worried about the gap and says any side is capable of mounting a sustained promotion bid.
Boyle added: "Everyone in this division is beating everybody and I think that's the way it's going to be for the rest of the season.
"But the first team to put a run together will be in the driving seat."
Airdrie will be without suspended centre-back David Lilley with Graeme Goodall and Ally Woodburn also missing as they continue their rehabilitation following injury.
