Dunfermline Athletic v Airdrie preview
3rd May 2013
Airdrie bring their season to a close tomorrow when they head to East End Park for a date with Dunfermline Athletic.
The Diamonds have already been relegated from the Irn-Bru First Division but are looking to finish on a high.
Indeed, Airdrie's last win came at Dunfermline on Saturday, January 12.
Opponents Dunfermline, on the other hand, have plenty to play for, as they could still end up in the relegation play-off spot.
However, a win will guarantee automatic safety. Anything less than that will see the Pars looking nervously at Cowdenbeath's result against Hamilton Accies.
Diamonds manager Jimmy Boyle is focusing on his own side's performance and plans on fielding as strong a team as possible in Fife.
But with up to eight players again unavailable, a youthful look is expected with 14-year-old Jordan Allan potentially included in the matchday 16.
Boyle said: "We want to try and finish the season positively and get a win for the supporters.
"We know it has been a disappointing season but we've still one game remaining and we will be going there and giving it a go.
"Dunfermline will be motivated as they are wanting to stay in the division and we know they will make things very tough for us."
