Lewis Coult signs
9th May 2013
Airdrie have tonight completed the signing of former Cowdenbeath striker Lewis Coult.
The 24-year-old has joined the Diamonds on a one-year deal after leaving the Blue Brazil earlier this week.
Coult was part of the Cowdenbeath side that won the Irn-Bru Second Division title in 2012 and helped clinch automatic SFL1 survival for the Fifers this term.
Now his focus is on doing well at Airdrie after putting pen to paper at New Broomfield stadium on Thursday evening.
Coult said: "It's good to sign for a club like Airdrie. The club got relegated last season but my sights are set on getting them back to the First Division.
"I enjoyed my two-and-a-half years with Cowdenbeath and I leave them with a heavy heart but Airdrie's my team now and I'm looking forward to getting started.
"I'm not here to play mid-table or be part of relegation. I'm here to score goals and get Airdrie back up to the First Division."
Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle said: "We are getting a proven goalscorer. He's a hungry boy and desperate to do well."
