Falkirk v Airdrie preview
21st September 2012
August's Player of the Month John Boyle insists the Diamonds have enough sparkle to take something from Saturday's trip to the Falkirk Stadium.
Striker Boyle said "I feel we’ve quality in the team. We’re looking to get something from the game and it’s important we steady the ship and be more consistent."
The marksman, who confessed to being "a wee bit shocked" at picking up the Irn Bru award, will know that Airdrie must rediscover their goalscoring touch if they're to succeed against the Bairns.
Five goals in the opening three fixtures shot 25-year-old Boyle to the top of the league scoring charts, but the team have only netted once in the last three fixtures, losing all three.
A poor run of league results has seen the Diamonds slide down the table after their impressive opening, but Steven Pressley's Falkirk have also found points hard to come by, and currently sit in eighth place, two points behind Airdrie.
Manager Jimmy Boyle is again without Australian defender Marc Warren, who serves the last of his two-match ban.
