ANOTHER DISAPPOINTMENT LAST SATURDAY... 
It’s just the kind of season we’re having I suppose. I thought we were going to win to be honest, but when they made it 2-1 and we made it 2-2 I thought that would be the result. But their last goal was a bit of a kick in the teeth - these things happen but it seems to be happening to us a lot. It’s down to the team’s defending as a unit.

AND THERE WAS THE LATE FINISH AGAINST DUNFERMLINE AS WELL... 
When you’re down at the bottom as well you don’t get any luck in a way; I’m not blaming the defence but we need a bit of luck and we’re just not getting it.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR OWN PERFORMANCES? IS THAT DOWN TO LUCK? 
I know I can do better and work better, but everybody in football needs a bit of luck.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS DIFFERENT COMPARED TO LAST YEAR? 
Players have come in and gone out, and we’re not getting a lot of players that we had last year. In a way the gaffer built his team around the Second Division. If we were there I would think we would have been in the top two/three with Queen of the South and whoever else.  

He’s been flung in at the deep end which folk have got to see. I’m not saying we’re not good enough to compete in the First Division but it is a massive jump playing against full-time teams every week.

Some people don’t think it makes a difference but it does - you’re working day in, day out with the same boys and it’s alright saying you can go to the gym and do extra but you’re not training with the boys. Full-time teams are training every day with them and extra sessions which makes a difference; but it’s got to do with being flung in the deep end.

HAS IT BEEN DIFFICULT TO ADJUST THEN? 
I wouldn’t say that - then you’re out on your own performances thinking if you’re good enough or not to be in the First Division. I just think it’s a hard one. It’s got a lot to do with, and I hate saying it, but full-time and part-time. I think we’ve got a good squad but when you look at others you can see why we’re not beating teams.

HAS IT BEEN A LONG SEASON, AND A LONG TIME SINCE YOU WON THE AWARDS LAST MAY? 
It seems like years and years ago - it’s just been a rubbish season from start to finish from a personal point of view. It sounds bad but I’ll just be glad when it ends just to see what league we’re going to be in and looking on to next season and see what happens. It’s maybe prolonged because we’re getting beat a lot.

YOU WON THE CLUB AND LEAGUE AWARDS FOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR. WHO’D GET YOUR VOTE THIS TIME ROUND? 
It’s a hard one, there haven’t been many outstanding players this year! There’s not been a lot of players here that have started a lot of games too, including myself, so that makes it difficult to answer.

But in terms of the league, I’ve been impressed by Chris Erskine (Partick) who has been very good this year. Michael Tidser at Morton as well and the Lyle Taylor at Falkirk has scored a lot of goals.

RAITH AND FALKIRK ARE THE OPPONENTS NOW. IS THERE A PLAN TO KEEP THE LIKES OF LYLE TAYLOR QUIET? 
You’ve got to keep players like that quiet but the plan is to pick up points as soon as. I get it all the time, people saying we’re already relegated but it’s alright saying we’re not - it’s just up to us to turn our words into actions and do it. I know the weeks go by and we find out where we are, but I think we’ve still got time to pick up.

If we win four/five of the next games then we can turn it around. We’ve just got to look after ourselves and not look for any other teams doing favours for us. Everyone at the club is trying their hardest and people might not see that at times, but we’re working as hard as we can to try and get out of this.
