Jamie Barclay, who made his debut against Dumbarton has been rewarded for his hard work by being signed on full terms till May 2014.

The local lad - who can walk to training - has impressed the manager with his endeavours and hopefully he will been seen on a regular basis as he pushes for first team football.

He has been involved with the 19s and the Reserves since the start of the season.

Liam Watt, who signed full terms at the end of last season, has had his contract extended to May 2014.

Liam sustained an injury in pre-season which saw him hobbling around on crutches, but his recovery has been excellent and he featured in last week's Reserve game at Stenhousemuir. His contribution, aside from two goals, was enough for Jimmy Boyle to put him on the bench at Falkirk.

The manager said "Age is no barrier when it comes to football. Both lads have applied themselves in a professional and diligent manner and it is important that they know they will play a big part in our future plans.

"This is a major benefit of being in the Reserve League this year. Young players get an early chance to see how they react taking a step up and the chance is there for anyone".
