Airdrie's pre-season schedule continues to take shape as we confirm a testimonial match for Blackburn United player Alan Brown.

The Diamonds travel to face the East Region Junior side at New Murrayfield Park on Saturday 19th July, kick off 2.30pm.

Airdrie born Alan is Blackburn's appearance record holder. 

​

In his third spell at the Club, the centre back first joined United from Lanarkshire juvenile football as a creative midfield player over 14 years ago and has made almost 350 starts and 34 substitute appearances for the Club, scoring 67 goals in the process.

In season 2010/11 Alan won an unprecedented clean sweep of the Club's player of the year awards, becoming Player of the Year and Player's Player of the Year as well as the Supporters Player of the Year.
