Keigan Parker says Airdrie's unbeaten run has provided belief ahead of Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at Cappielow.

The Diamonds have lost only one game in six since the last time they faced Morton in September, and striker Parker is in confident mood. 

​

"We are going to Morton with a decent run, so we know we have a right chance. 

​

"A cup run would give us a break from the league, so it would be a positive for sure". 

​

A break from the weekly toil of the league campaign would certainly offer welcome refreshment for the New Broomfield men, who have made hard work of recent results. 

​

Away draws at Peterhead and Stirling had to be earned by fighting back from a goal down - twice at Forthbank. 

​

And though Parker feels that Airdrie may have edged last week's tie, he has no complaints about the determination shown. 

​

"I think we could have won it in the end, but to come from behind twice we would take the point". 

​

Gary Bollan's men will not want to concede any ground to full-time Morton side who have already beaten them 2-1 at Cappielow this season, but they must start with a rearranged defence. 

​

Partick Thistle have declared loanee Ben Richards-Everton unavailable for the match as they don't want the player cup-tied. 

​

However, Rangers and Dundee United have given permission for Airdrie's other loan players (Luca Gasparotto and Scott Fraser) to play. 

​

David Proctor has made steady progress with a hamstring injury, and may slot into the back line in place of Richards-Everton. 

​

Defender Robert Wilson and midfielder Joe Hamill left the Club on loan deals this week, joining Musselburgh and Bonnyrigg Rose respectively. 

​

George Salmond is the referee for the William Hill Scottish Cup third round tie.
