Airdrieonians chief executive Iain King has joined the Club’s board of directors.

The 48-year-old former Scottish Sun Head of Sport moved to the Diamonds in July after chairman Tom Wotherspoon bought a controlling interest in the Club. 

​

Now Iain has taken the next step in cementing his ties with Airdrieonians as he looks to the many challenges ahead.

And he said: “I’m humbled and privileged to join the Board of a club with a history as rich as the Diamonds have. 

​

“The first three months here have been hectic and we have already achieved a lot by significantly improving our relationship with the Supporters Trust and bringing in a full-time Director of Coaching. 

​

“Yet I know that is only the start of Tom’s vision of where we can go as a Club and I am excited to be a part of helping to build for the future.”
