Jamie Bain has notched up over 200 appearances for the Diamonds, and the Club were pleased to recognise this achievement ahead of Tuesday's match.

Bain's 200th appearance, which came against Stranraer back in October, was marked by a framed Airdrie shirt with "Bain 200" on the back, presented to the player by vice-chairman Jim Ballantyne.

Local lad Jamie was handed his debut against St Johnstone at the end of season 2008/09 after picking up the U19s player of the year award. He was to make one more appearance the following season before becoming a mainstay of the side when Jimmy Boyle took over in 2011.

Finding the net 15 times over his Airdrie career, Baino is renowned for scoring important and, more often than not, spectacular goals - giving rise to a phrase often uttered in the New Broomfield stands; "Jamie Bain doesn't do tap-ins".

His first goal came in a 4-2 defeat of Peterhead in April 2011, and his most recent was the winner against league leaders Dunfermline in January. It was something of a tap-in.

After Tuesday's match, Jamie took to Twitter to express his gratitude.

"Over the moon to be given my 200 appearance top, would like to thank all fans and my family for being there through thick and thin. Hopefully more appearances to come in the famous Diamond!"
