This week saw the first Airdrieonians Academy Training Camp.

The idea behind this camp was for the coaches to get to know the philosophy that new Director of Coaching Eddie Wolecki Black aims to put in place, using the players attached to the club as participants. 

​

Over three days all of the Academy age groups (U13s, U14s, U15s and U17s) came in to the stadium for extra sessions under the watchful eyes of Eddie and Chief Exec Iain King.

Afterwards, Eddie was quick to declare the camp a success, and to thank Excelsior Stadium for their generosity.

"Iain and I are very grateful to the stadium owners for allowing us to put on this camp at no cost to the club, the youngsters or their parents. 

​

"I have to say the standard throughout the three days was higher than I imagined it would be and I believe the club have some very promising youngsters on their books. 

​

"The feedback has been very good and is certainly something we would look to replicate again in the future."
