The 2016 Betfred Cup group stage fixtures have been announced, and Airdrie kick off their season with a home tie against Partick Thistle.

The Diamonds welcome the top-seeded Jags to New Broomfield on Saturday, July 16, followed by a trip to Dumfries to face Championship outfit Queen of the South on Tuesday, July 19.

Airdrie's group fixtures round up with a home tie against Stenhousemuir on Saturday, July 23 and a visit to the national stadium to take on Queen's Park on Tuesday, July 26.
