Airdrie's new full-time era began in earnest today as pre-season training got underway at Ravenscraig.

The Diamonds checked in for an early start at their new state-of-the-art training base under the watchful eyes of coaches Kevin McBride and Donald Jennow.

​

With just over a month until the season begins, the management team are working hard to prepare the side as they adapt to the full-time set-up.

​

And there was a fresh look to the squad with new signings such as Iain Russell and Joe Gorman joining up as the boys set about a rigorous workout on the indoor pitch.

​

Club captain Marc Fitzpatrick was happy to get back in the swing of things.

​

"It went well. The first day is always about getting a feel for it again, but the boys are all really looking forward to it!

​

"The new faces are settling in well. They all seem like good guys and I'm sure they'll fit in."
