Airdrieonians FC can confirm that Gordon Dalziel has been appointed in an advisory role, conducting a review of the day-to-day operation in a bid to revamp the club's football operation.

The former Raith Rovers and Ayr United manager has a wealth of experience at lower league level, and it was felt his knowledge of the game could be beneficial to the setup.

Chairman Tom Wotherspoon told airdriefc.com: "Gordon has come in to have a look at every aspect of the football operation. 

​

"Having experienced success in his playing and coaching career, he will make recommendations to the board regarding changes we can make to take the club forward.

​

"Nothing has changed regarding the coaching setup, Kevin McBride is still head coach and will look after first-team affairs with his coaching staff".
