Furtado makes Raith Rovers switch
January 18, 2018
Following the expiry of his contract, Willis Furtado has today joined Raith Rovers.
The French-Portuguese forward makes the move to Kirkcaldy after a six month spell at New Broomfield during which he made 17 appearances and scored five goals, including Airdrie's second against Stranraer on Saturday.
First team coach Stephen Findlay thanked Furtado for his efforts during his time at Airdrie.
"It was a pleasure working with Willis, he gave his all for the team and had a real maturity about him for someone so young.
"We did our best to keep him but it wasn't to be. We're disappointed to see him move on, but he goes with our very best wishes and we too must now move on."
