We are delighted to announce two new Board appointments as the Club takes further steps in our regeneration drive. 

 

As of today, David McArthur and Gordon Watson have been appointed as Directors.

 

Chairman Jim Ballantyne said: "We have for a long while been looking to strengthen the Board and bring in fresh input to assist the Club in moving forward. I am delighted that we have now been able to make that possible.

 

"Having met with Gordon and David on numerous occasions, I know they will bring a new dynamic to the Club"

Gordon Watson said: "Following a meeting with Jim through a mutual friend I was interested to know more about the club and those discussions have quickly turned into the current opportunity.

 

"I believe that I can assist the current Board in making Airdrieonians FC the force it once was. I am a lifelong Airdrieonians fan and relish the opportunity to help the Club I love.

 

"I think the bond between the fans and the club is an important one and I am always willing to talk, but more importantly, listen."

 

David McArthur is involved with the running and operation of family owned business Holemasters Scotland, a nationwide concrete cutting and diamond drilling business.

 

David operates the companies’ Fire Protection and Concrete Scanning division operating all over the UK. 

 

David explained: "I'm excited to have the opportunity to join the Board here at Airdrie.

 

"Having been involved with the club for a while as a major sponsor I have seen the good work the Board has done to stabilise and move the club forward.

 

"I look forward to working with the Chairman and all the Directors to continue the good work."
