Airdrie Turkish Barber rejoins partnership scheme
September 22, 2017
The fourth club partner to be announced is the return of Suleyman Yildiz – aka Soley – owner of ‘Airdrie Turkish Barber’.
Soley was one of the original 14 partners last year, and everyone at the club is delighted that he has returned again this season.
Soley has been barbering for over 20 years now, 17 of which were in Marmaris in his native Turkey, before moving to Scotland to marry wife Gail, and setting up his own business in the town's Alexander Street.
Airdrie fans visiting his salon will feel right at home, as his walls are adorned with Airdrie memorabilia and a signed strip, and he has also incorporated the famous Diamond into his business logo.
Soley explained more on his background: “I am an experienced fully insured traditional barber with over 20 years of experience in the trade.
"I relocated to the UK from Turkey in 2015 and set up my business in 2016 offering my gentlemen's haircut and unique cut-throat razor shave services which have proved to be very popular for weddings and special occasion gifts such as birthdays and Christmas presents.
"I am currently a salon based barber, but also offer my service after working hours for those unable to attend the shop.
"The services I offer include: Gentlemen's Haircuts - Fashion, Traditional and Classic styles; Express & Executive Cut-throat razor shaves (Hot towel & flaming ears); and Threading.
"Please feel free to browse through a selection of images from projects I’ve worked on and the services I currently offer at my Facebook page!”
As part of the partnership scheme, Airdrie Turkish Barber offer 10% discount to Airdrie season ticket holders.
Soley had a special customer this week – Airdrie diehard Thomas Eaton, who after recently being diagnosed with prostate and bone cancer, shaved his hair off to raise money for various charities in the town, including the Maggies centre. Being the gentleman he is, Soley refused to accept payment – a class act.
