West End Bar extend partnership
September 22, 2017
We are delighted that Scott Rae and his team at the West End Bar have rejoined the Club Partnership for the second year in a row.
The popular Alexander Street Bar is a regular haunt for Diamonds fans both on match days and throughout the week, and is one of the town's most vibrant bars.
Commonly known as the WEB, the bar has been in the Rae family since 1987, with Scott taking over from his Dad Johnny after he sadly passed away in 1996.
Scott said of the partnership: "We were delighted to join last year, and along with the exposure which we got from the marketing done via the club, were also delighted to get financial return after hosting a couple of events.
"We look forward to repeating that this season, and will be hosting a Supporters' Trust quiz soon.
"The pub itself prides itself on the football coverage we provide, with four TVs in the bar area. We also have a pool room and darts board, and have a team that play in the Airdrie Pool League.
"The West End Bar Tartan Army (WEBATA) goes from strength to strength, organising travel to every Scotland match, home and away. We now also link up with the Supporters' Trust, and take members of the Airdrie Aces to the matches free of charge.
"As you can see in one of the pictures, we also host local community groups and cater for groups of people with special needs, and our pool room is used regularly free of charge for these guys. We also have over 40 kiltwalkers who walk regularly in aid of local charities.
"We are also proud to say that we are dog friendly, and offer all four-legged visitors treats and a water bowl."
Along with regular coverage of football, the WEB also has a quiz night every Tuesday, and their infamous 'Cheesy Sunday’ nights on bank holiday weekends are always lively affairs - see for yourself this Sunday!
The WEB are also happy to offer all Season Ticket holders the great deal of £2 for a pint of Coors Light and £1.50 for a bottle of Coors on Airdrie matchdays!
