Defender Higgins joins on loan

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Daniel Higgins from Kilmarnock.

The 19-year-old central defender signed up at Rugby Park in the summer, having previously joined Dundee from the Celtic youth system.

Daniel joins until the end of the season and goes straight into the Diamonds squad for Saturday's trip to Forfar.

First team coach Stevie Findlay said: "We're delighted to secure Danny's talents until the end of the season. His acquisition will give us much-needed, healthy competition.

"He's a capable, exciting prospect who made four Premiership appearances for Dundee.

"We're positive he'll help us to build on where we want to be."

Daniel added: "I'm pleased to be joining a club where I can improve and learn as much as possible.

"Hopefully I can help the team win as many games as possible and move up the table."

Meanwhile, defender John Higgins has joined Cumbernauld United on loan. The 21-year-old defender returns to the junior side having spent time at Guy's Meadow last season, and we wish him all the best with his loan period.
