Holemasters “give back” to local charities
June 5, 2019
Club sponsor Holemasters are delighted to announce their chosen charity partners for the upcoming season.
Having penned a record sponsorship deal last month, Holemasters have chosen to share part of their advertising allocation with three local charities. St Andrew’s Hospice, Hope for Autism and Airdrie Community Trust will feature on the back of the club’s new home, away and third strip respectively.
Announcing the deal, Holemasters managing director Jim McArthur said: “This is a fantastic opportunity we have to work with these great charities.
“We’ve worked with a charity in the past during previous seasons’ sponsorship, and we’re delighted to have the ability to extend that this season by working with three more.”
Lorna McCafferty, Trust Fundraising Officer at St Andrew’s Hospice said: “On behalf of our patients and staff, I would like to thank Holemasters for helping to raise awareness of St Andrew’s Hospice by placing our logo on the new shirts.
“We are also extremely grateful for the ongoing support of Airdrieonians Football Club, which will enable us to continue to care for the people of Lanarkshire.”
Hope for Autism chairperson Carol Russell MBE added: “HOPE for Autism is absolutely ecstatic that Holemasters have chosen us as one of their charity partners for the 2019/20 season, with our logo being used on the back of the Airdrieonians away strip.
“HOPE for Autism’s partnership with the club and the sensory room has been supported very generously with donations from Holemasters in the past, so this additional gesture takes it to another level and we are truly grateful.
“On behalf of all the families and young people who attend HOPE, I would like to thank Holemasters for their continued support towards ‘autism acceptance’ in the community.”
And Gordon Watson, trustee at Airdrie Community Trust concluded: “The Community Trust are delighted to be chosen by Holemasters to have our name on the back of the Airdrieonians third strip.
“It will be a great advert for us and hopefully be an avenue to promote ourselves to the community.
“We would like to thank Holemasters for this kind gesture and for all they do for Airdrieonians.”
As part of their sponsorship deal, Holemasters will also be inviting pupils from local schools to the stadium for the ‘Legends vs Allstars’ charity match on June 22. More details will be announced in due course.
