Hot prospect Kristi agrees terms
August 8, 2019
We are pleased to have agreed terms with former Celtic midfielder Kristi Marku.
Kristi (19) has spent two years at Parkhead, featuring for the U17, U20 and Reserve sides. Although born in England to Albanian parents, he has been capped by Scotland at U15 and U16 levels.
Putting pen to paper at the Penny Cars Stadium this evening, Kristi told airdriefc.com: “I’m pleased to have signed, I’ve been out for a while through injury so it’s great to get the chance to come here.
“Hopefully I can repay that by helping the team towards promotion.”
Manager Ian Murray added: “Kristi is a young player who has had a really big setback with his injury, but he’s shown tremendous hunger to come in here and be part of our set-up.
“He’ll predominantly be with the reserves at the moment, but Dean Hawkshaw is an example of where that can lead - if you excel in the reserves you’ll get your chance in the first team.
“Kristi has undoubted ability and talent, and hopefully we can bring that out of him.”
