Wheelchair/Ambulant Fans - Information
Wheelchair users should enter the ground from Firhill Road by the red gates between the Colin Weir Stand (the older stand on Firhill Road) and the John Lambie Stand (the newer stand behind the goals). Tickets can be purchased from the staff member here.
The area for wheelchair users to watch the match from is the section in front of the Colin Weir Stand (the stand at the side of the pitch). The cover here is reasonable.
For the Partick Thistle v Airdrie Betfred Cup match on 13.7.19 the away support will be accommodated in the Jackie Husband Stand. Ambulant fans can view the match from the Jackie Husband Stand or from the area in front of the Colin Weir Stand. Fans can enter the Jackie Husband Stand by the turnstiles or by the exit gates if this is easier, stewards can give assistance.
From 2.30 until 2.45 a free shuttle bus takes fans with mobility difficulties from the city end of the stadium at Firhill Road round to the Jackie Husband Stand.
Three car park spaces for blue badge holders can be reserved in advance in the official club car park. To reserve a space fans should contact Airdrie in the first instance who will forward names on to Partick Thistle.
Car Parking
For away fans using the section in front of the Colin Weir Stand many fans park in the streets surrounding Firhill as it is closer to the accessible entrance than the official club car park. As kick off time approaches these spaces fill up quickly so if seeking one of these spaces then the advice is to come early. Parking is at the owner’s own risk.
Some fans park on Scottish Canals land behind the Jackie Husband Stand. Parking here is free and again at the owner’s own risk but many fans park here trouble free. These spaces fill up quickly on match day. The spaces here are close to the away turnstiles.
The Aitken Suite Lounge
Situated in the Colin Weir Stand is The Aitken Suite Lounge which opens before Saturday matches from 12:00 and is also open after the match. Home and away fans are welcome. Live matches are shown and food is also available. The lounge has a disabled toilet.
Access to the Aitken Suite for wheelchair users is by the same entrance gates which fans enter the stadium by. Inside the ground there is a ramp beside the stand which allows wheelchair access into the Aitken Suite. The stewards on duty will provide assistance.
Further information can be obtained by contacting Partick Thistle’s Disability Access Officer Dougie McInnes at dao@ptfc.co.uk or on 07803 922570.
