Following confirmation of international clearance, we are delighted to announce the signing of James Cowan.

 

The Portsmouth-born midfielder has previously been on the books of Dundee and Oxford United, and joins Airdrie after a successful trial period.

 

James (19) was pleased to have his signing confirmed.

 

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far, so I’m delighted that I’ve done enough to earn a contract.

 

“As a player I like to get on the ball and push the team forward, and I work a lot on setpieces so I love to take free kicks, penalties and corners!

 

“I’m looking forward to helping the team get as high up the table as possible and seeing where it takes us.”

 

Manager Ian Murray said: “James came in for a two-week trial and showed great commitment and attitude.

 

“He played three games and did well, and we’ve seen enough in training to know there’s a very good player in there - his passing is excellent and he has a great understanding of the game.
