Surviving Christmas

December 13, 2019

Airdrieonians FC, North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention and Airdrie Community Trust are teaming up to spread the message that it’s ok not to be ok - particularly at Christmas.

This time of the year can be particularly hard for many people, and together with our friends at Suicide Prevention, the club and the Community Trust are highlighting the issue by making tomorrow’s game our “Surviving Christmas” match.

Peterhead’s squad will join the Diamonds in a pre-match card display, and there will be people around the stadium handing out information leaflets and festive freebies. Our thanks go to Airdrie supporter Jamie Leishman, director of printing.com Lanarkshire, for his excellent work in the production of these.

This week, club captain Sean Crighton and Lynne MacDonald of North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention spoke to DiamondsTV about the issue - you can watch the video here, which has a list of useful phone numbers at the end.

Please remember, it’s ok not to be ok.
