With effect from today (March 21), the Penny Cars Stadium will close until further notice after announcements by the UK Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer on Friday, March 20.

All events including first team and reserve games, training of all of our teams and affiliated clubs, conferences, five/seven-a-side football, 11-a-side matches/pitch hire, room hire, parties and Cross Fit Airdrie gym have been cancelled until further notice.

Diamonds Lotto, the Airdrieonians club lottery, will also be postponed with immediate effect also. Our lottery agents have been contacted prior to this announcement and asked to return payments to participants who have already paid this week. Those who pay by direct debit should cancel their regular direct debit payment directly with their bank and contact Heather Allan on heather.allan@airdriefc.com. The lottery will restart when normal business resumes with the £20,000 prize pot to play for. If you have any questions or queries regarding this, please send them by email to Heather.

We are working closely with the SFA and SPFL on all the current football matters and the club are grateful for the support and professionalism from both bodies and their incredible staff. They are working tirelessly to get Scottish football back up and running in the fairest possible way, and we support them 100% as a member club during this unprecedented period in time.

We can assure all Airdrieonians supporters that all possible care and diligence is being applied in order to navigate the club through this shutdown period.
