Advertiser appeal gets our support
November 27, 2019
Airdrieonians FC, Airdrie Community Trust and the Penny Cars Stadium are delighted to support the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser’s Christmas Toy Appeal.
Donations of new, unused gifts suitable for children and young people up to 16 years are being collected for the appeal, and this year we’re delighted to be able to accept donations at the stadium.
The Advertiser appeal is now in its seventh year, and with the help of Monklands charity XACT and humanitarian group Spirit Aid, it ensures that hundreds of local youngsters will have a very merry Christmas.
The only requirement for donations is that they are new and packaged, with gifts for older teens especially being gratefully received. Gifts such as make-up, vouchers and toiletries for teenagers are appreciated as well as toys for younger children.
Along with director and Community Trustee Gordon Watson, Diamonds stars Sean Crighton, Callum Fordyce and Ally Roy attended the launch of the appeal at Morrisons in Airdrie, which also accepts donations, as do Asda and Tesco in Coatbridge.
Donations to the appeal can be handed in at the front desk at the Penny Cars Stadium between now and Monday, December 16.
