We have agreed the sale of defender Kyle MacDonald to Championship promotion hopefuls Dunfermline Athletic.

While we are sorry to see Kyle move on, we are delighted to announce that he will return to Airdrie on loan for the remainder of the season as soon as football resumes at League One level.

Kyle joined the club from Motherwell in May 2019, and despite an injury delaying his Diamonds debut, he went on to become a regular starter in the right full-back position. His ability to provide cover in other positions have made him a valuable asset during his time at Airdrie, and was clearly a factor in the interest received from other clubs.

While Kyle, who turned 21 earlier this week, will join Dunfermline immediately, we are pleased to have agreed a deal to loan him back for the rest of the season, and we look forward to his continued commitment to our own promotion campaign.
