Goalie Max grabs new deal
We are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Max Currie has signed a new deal to remain with the Diamonds.
24-year-old keeper Max joined the club from Stranraer last summer, making 27 appearances between the sticks in his debut season.
Playing a vital role in a campaign which saw the Diamonds reach the play-off final, Max turned in some eye-catching performances as Airdrie finished the season with the second-meanest defensive record in the league.
Agreeing a new deal with the club, Max told airdriefc.com “I’m loving my time at the club working with the manager and the staff.
“Hopefully myself and the others who are staying on can take our good form into the new season and learn from where we fell short - and go one place further this time round!”
Manager Ian Murray was pleased to retain his number one.
“We’re delighted to agree an extension with Max, he’s maturing and will develop further.
“He’s a good member of our squad and we look forward to working with him again.”
