We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Celtic youngster Brody Paterson.

20-year-old Paterson is a star of the Parkhead reserve team, and plays primarily as a left-sided full-back.

Having had a taste of the senior game with a loan spell at Queen’s Park last season, Brody was delighted to join up with the squad ahead of this evening’s trip to Broadwood to face Clyde.

He told airdriefc.com: “I’m buzzing, I’ve known about this for a few weeks now and I’m just really happy that it’s finally gone ahead.

“I just want to help the team get the promotion that we’ve been playing towards all season, play as many games as I can, and hopefully play my part.”

Manager Ian Murray was pleased to further strengthen his squad, adding: “We’re really delighted to get Brody in, he’s a natural left-sided player who has done really well in Celtic’s B team.

“We’ve been waiting for him for a while with Celtic’s situation, so it’s really good to get him in as we go into a tough second part of the season.”

Brody goes straight into the squad for the resumption of the cinch League 1 campaign this evening, and we look forward to seeing him in the Diamond.
