Ian McMillan Memorial Dinner
The club suffered a profound loss last year when former player, manager, vice-chairman and president Ian McMillan passed away, and we are delighted to announce an upcoming charity dinner to commemorate the man known as “The Greatest Airdrieonian”.
On Sunday, May 4, the Ian McMillan Memorial Dinner will be held in the Rowan Suite at The Albert Bartlett Stadium, with proceeds benefitting Variety Scotland – a children’s charity which was close to Ian’s heart.
For several months we have been working closely with Ian’s family and Variety Scotland to ensure a fitting tribute to “The Wee Prime Minister”, and the evening will include a delicious meal, entertainment from fantastic guest speakers (to be announced at a later date), and a charity auction.
The evening will also incorporate the 2024/25 Airdrieonians Player of the Year Award presentations.
The memorial dinner gets underway at 6:30pm on Sunday, May 4, with tickets priced at £120 (including meal and half bottle of wine per person).
Season ticket holders and Club 1924 members can apply for tickets from 9:00am tomorrow (Thursday March 20), with all other interested parties able to apply from 9:00am on Saturday (March 22). You can apply by emailing Gordon Watson – gw@airdrieonians.co.uk – and successful applicants will be notified by email by Tuesday evening (March 25).
We expect this to be a busy event and tickets will be highly sought-after, so please bear with us as we process the applications. Due to the limited places available, applications are limited to a maximum of two tickets per person.
